How to get an accurate reading

  • Sit quietly for five minutes before measuring, with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
  • Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart height, and keep still and quiet during the reading.
  • Measure at the same times each day, and avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes beforehand.
  • Take two readings a minute apart and record both. Your average over several days matters more than any single number.

Prefer to skip the paper?

Tansira does the same thing on your phone: log readings offline, classify each one, and export a clean PDF for your doctor when you need it. No account needed to start.
