Everything Tansira can do

A detailed look at every feature designed for people who take their readings seriously, without trusting their data to a stranger's server.

  • Full Offline Operation

Tansira works 100% without internet. Log readings, view trends from 7 days to all-time, and export PDF reports whether you're in a basement, on a plane, or in a hospital with no signal.

  • SQLCipher Encryption

Every reading is encrypted at rest using AES-256 via SQLCipher, the same library trusted by financial and government apps. Your device key is generated locally and never leaves your phone in readable form. Cloud Backup stores only a copy locked by your backup passphrase.

  • Multi-Guideline Classification

Choose between AHA/ACC (2025), WHO/ISH (1999), ESC/ESH (2018), or JSH (2025). The classification badge updates instantly when you switch; no re-entry needed. Not sure which standard applies to you? Region detection suggests the right guideline for your country and explains why.

  • Crisis Alerts

Readings at or above 180/120 mmHg (AHA/ACC) or 180/110 (other guidelines) trigger an immediate Crisis Warning screen. Tansira distinguishes between Hypertensive Emergency (with symptoms: call emergency services) and Hypertensive Urgency (without symptoms: contact a doctor urgently).

  • Guided Measurement Prep

An optional pre-measurement routine walks you through the clinical checklist (rest, posture, position), an animated 4-7-8 breathing exercise, and a 5-minute rest timer, so readings are taken the way guidelines recommend. In a hurry? Skip it, or use Quick Log with its auto-advancing numpad.

  • Voice Logging (iOS)

Say "Log my blood pressure in Tansira" and Siri opens a confirmation screen with your numbers pre-filled. Review and edit before anything is saved. On Android, launcher shortcuts jump straight to a new reading.

  • Deep Analytics

7-day to all-time views with averages, category breakdowns, morning vs evening comparison, circadian analysis, morning surge detection, weight trends, lifestyle tag correlations, medication adherence correlation, and optional weather correlation.

  • Pulse Pressure & MAP

Every reading also shows Pulse Pressure (PP) and Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) on the dashboard, each with a plain-language explanation of what it means, and you can optionally include them in PDF reports.

  • Complete History

Every reading grouped by time period (today, this week, this month, older) with color-coded category badges plus pulse, weight, tags, location, and posture details. Edit or delete any record, and filter between your readings and a linked family member's.

  • Medication Tracking

Add medications with dose times and receive local reminders at each scheduled time. Mark a dose as taken right from the notification, or log taken and skipped doses in the app. Analytics shows whether on-time dosing correlates with better BP control in your data.

  • Family Sharing

Link devices with a family member or caregiver via QR code or 6-character invite code. Readings sync automatically over end-to-end encrypted channels. Enable crisis push notifications so a trusted person is alerted the moment you log a hypertensive crisis reading.

  • Encrypted Cloud Backup

Optionally back up your encrypted database to your own Google Drive, protected by a passphrase only you know. Zero-knowledge, so not even we can read it. Restore everything on a new phone with the same passphrase. Off by default.

  • PDF Report Export

Generate print-ready PDF reports with your reading history, average values, trend chart, and optional doctor notes. Choose any date range and share directly with your doctor from the share sheet. On the Free plan you get one report per month; Pro is unlimited.

  • Health Platform Sync

Two-way sync with Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). Export readings so they appear alongside your other health data, import the last 30 days recorded by other apps, and enable automatic sync. Each direction has its own toggle.

  • Lifestyle Tags

Annotate readings with context: stress, exercise, alcohol, caffeine, salt, poor sleep, medication, or your own custom tags. Analytics surfaces which tags correlate with higher or lower readings specifically in your data.

  • Senior & Accessibility Modes

Senior Mode scales text to 1.4×, enlarges touch targets to 56 pt, and adds confirmation dialogs before destructive actions. High Contrast Mode communicates BP categories with both colour and shape/text for users with colour vision deficiencies.

  • Dark Mode

Full dark mode support that follows your system setting or can be locked manually. Designed for comfortable use in low-light morning reading sessions.

  • Accessibility First

Screen-reader friendly with accessibility labels throughout, 44 pt minimum touch targets (56 pt in Senior Mode), and a dedicated High Contrast mode. Available in English, Turkish, Serbian, and Indonesian.

Blood pressure guideline comparison

Different professional bodies define hypertension stages differently. Tansira lets you see which category your reading falls into under each system.

BP classification thresholds by guideline (systolic/diastolic mmHg)
GuidelineNormalElevatedStage 1Stage 2Crisis
AHA/ACC 2025< 120/80120-129/<80130-139/80-89≥ 140/90≥ 180/120
WHO/ISH 1999< 130/85130-139/85-89140-159/90-99160-179/100-109≥ 180/110
ESC/ESH 2018< 130/85130-139/85-89140-159/90-99160-179/100-109≥ 180/110
JSH 2025< 120/80120-129/<80130-139/80-89≥ 140/90≥ 180/110

Values shown as systolic/diastolic mmHg. Thresholds are informational; consult your physician for personalized clinical interpretation. Tansira classifies against each standard's complete category table: the WHO/ISH 1999 table (WHO's 2021 update defines treatment thresholds but no classification chart) and the ESC/ESH 2018 framework (the ESC 2024 three-category system is not yet implemented). See our Editorial & Sourcing Policy for the full rationale.
